What a mascara addict

It's no doubt that I have a thing for mascaras. So anyway, a friend of mine is in the US now so I got her to do my a favor. I asked her to help me to buy some mascaras that I've been dying to try out but can't because SG doesn't carry them. Seriously, the variety of drugstore mascaras are freaking limited. 

I love reading reviews on all sorts of mascaras on the net and I was hoping I could go to the US and raid their Walmart/ Walgreens one day and get these 2 babies:

These 2 had super great reviews! So when I found out my friend left SG for US I asked her if she could help me to bring them back hehe! I collected them yesterday, however it wasn't exactly what I wanted :( But it's ok! Because ~$25 for two mascaras is a freaking steal. You can only get like one mascara here in SG with $25?!

So anyway this L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes.... It's so bad oh my god. After I collected it I check out reviews and 99% thought it was bad. I was hoping I'd be one of the 1%. But I wasn't :( It gives super a lot of volume, but not in a very good way. It's like you can see the particles... Really bad mascara. But I'm pretty sure I can put it to use somehow ;)

It's more or less the same to the one I'd wanted, but reviews said it wasn't as good. But it's not that bad... Gives really clean lashes. I think it's the wand that gives it the really clean and defined look. But it'll take a few coats to give volume. Great for when you just want visible lashes by darkening them. Definitely getting some more of Covergirl's mascaras if I have the chance to!

I would say my favourite Mascara brand is still Majolica Majorca :) Used their Lash Expander and Lash King, both were great! Lash expander lengthens and gives a very clean and separated look (thanks to the comb applicator) while the Lash King lengthens and volumises at the same time. Lash expander is somewhat like a thicker version of lash blast fushion? 

MM's mascaras are more pricey (~$25.90) compared to brands like Maybelline (~$20) but they are really good. Watson's always has 20% off regularly! So catch the discount while you can!

Both jr and I LOVE super cooked congee!!! Added in salted egg yolk and marmite. Salted egg yolk+ marmite is the best combi for porridge, seriously, TRY IT.

Kiki's been unwilling to kiss me these few days. She'll come close like she wanna, then turn away. Like she's teasing me, "you want a kiss? Ok la.... *leans in* NO WAY! MUAHAHAHA" but she just did, because I fed her food during dinner just now. What a realistic baby girl!

Little darling, I'm so gonna miss having you over every Monday- Friday morning-evening and staying over every Wednesday.... I'm gonna miss waking up with you next to me at 8.30 a.m. when you've reached. I'm so gonna miss rushing home everyday after school just so I could see you for awhile before your paternal grandparents bring you back to your home at Veerasamy Road.

You don't know how huge a part you have in my life right now and I'm just crying here fearing that you would forget me because you are not gonna see me regularly. Please don't.... Seriously I can't believe I'm crying for such a mini creature like you. You're my very first niece I've ever had in my entire life. I remember myself envying my friends who have nieces or nephews... I was so excited when you came along. I've always thought things would be like how it was till you go to school and we would be have the closest aunt-niece relationship ever.... But now, things have changed a little and my hopes are kinda dashed..... Please open up our arms to me still when I see you again.

I hope you read this and know how much I love you. It's ridiculous how much I actually love you when we've only known each other for such a short period of time. You got some magic or something?

Swee Choon with the lasalle peeps yesterday night. This is the almighty liu sha bao........ Theirs isn't exactly very good actually. I love my LSB with a strong salted egg yolk taste like the ones they sell @ Fortunate Restaurant. That, is LOVE.

Dad's 47th Celebration

Met up with 4 of my buds this morning for mac breakfast! Here's Nick, who is now BALD! :O

After a couple of hours with them I headed home with a cake and 6 bowls of soy beancurd from Cheers! 

To my surprise, it was really good!

Waited for like damn long for sis to come over with Dan and Kiki! She got me this, walau eh super old school! But it was too small to go over my head so I wore it on my wrist haha #toofat

Got strawberry shortcake for dad since he's always drinking strawberry milk hahaha

Anyway other then sis, dan, kiki and jr, my mom's friends joined us for lunch today. They are all employees of the recently burnt down photo developing shop in AMK T.T

Damn I loved that place :( Won't be able to step into it anymore sigh~
